Put the #Redstweetup on your calendar!

As you may or may not know, May 11th will be the first official #Redstweetup of the season. Am I excited? YES! Here’s the thing… I get quite a few followers asking to meet up at the ballpark during games. I generally don’t have a problem with this (because there is security everywhere in case things get weird or someone who I thought was a girl named “Rachel” is really just a crazy cat who tweets in his pajamas) but I just haven’t mastered the art of being in more than one place at a time. And I’m a baby. And it’s kind of scary to go around looking for people you may or may not even recognize.

The truth is, I like meeting Twitter friends. Tweet-ups are great because they provide a safe and fun environment to socialize with people you otherwise only interact with on the internet. With that in mind, I hope you can make it to the first official tweet-up of the season so that I can clear my guilty conscience and finally say hi in person!  Plus, it’s at Great American Ball Park as the Reds host the Nationals AND you get a sweet t-shirt.

Check Better Off Red for official details and information on how you can join the party!

See you there!

would Love to be there and see you but dont think its gonna happen- have fun -I enjoy reading your blog and post.

Dallas….have been following your blog and love reading your insight. First of all, welcome to Cincinnati. I hope the Reds family has made you welcome. If you ever need anything let us know. I would love to meet you next time I’m in town. I’m the only one in the Castellini family who lives out of town…..I live in savannah, Georgia. Enjoy getting to know the city and have fun with it. Now you need to go visit the zoo!!!!! Welcome to the Queen City!!!!!

Dallas, I have to say, I absolutely love your blogs and your tweets! Hopefully, you and Mat will settle in and fall in love with our beautiful Queen City. I know it’s not sunny California, but we are pretty nice people who know, understand, live and breathe baseball. And for a baseball player and his wife, I’d say this is a pretty good place to be :)

so, there’s something wrong with tweeting in your pj’s? It’s just really tough getting pants on over my ankle monitor. (kidding)

So how’d the tweetup go? My husband and I had to be elsewhere, but it would’ve been fun to work that into going to the game.

Apologizing to you on behalf of Reds fans everywhere. Don’t blame you for leaving Twitter – but hope it is temporary. Love your humor, and your comments made games more fun.
